Our students with the best diploma theses in the SGP competition
The Organizing Committee of the SGP (Polish Surveyors Association) Competition for the best diploma theses defended in the field of geodesy and cartography has announced the results for the 2021/2022 edition. Among the winners of the competition, there were three theses defended at IGIG.

European internships for UPWr Master students in remote sensing and geodesy
The GATHERS project ( aims to integrate geodetic techniques: GNSS, LiDAR and InSAR for monitoring and modelling of earth surface deformations and seismic risk. As part of the project, 1-month internships are organized for masters students who will prepare their masters thesis in the field of Remote Sensing and Geodesy for deformation monitoring under the supervision of a selected GATHERS mentor. GATHERS experts have strong experience using geodetic techniques for deformation monitoring, but their research interests are much broader (link to bio). If you like the analysis of geodetic data, cooperation with others and you want to learn about modern geodetic methods of deformation monitoring - apply for the Geodesy & Cartography masters studies at UPWr.

IGiG scientific seminar: UAV-borne laser scanning system dr hab. inż. Grzegorz Jóźków
IGG would like to invite all interested participants to hybrid scientific seminar, which will be held in room No. 100G in IGiG and online on Zoom platform. Presentation "Building UAV-borne laser scanning system" will be given byi Prof. Grzegorz Jóźków, from our institute.

Seminar will start Thursday, 19th January 2023, 09:00 AM (CEST).

GNSS tomography - new flexible parametrization

IGiG researchers reached another milestone in GNSS tomography research. In their quest for a high versatility model to picture vertical and horizontal variation of troposphere, they developed a unique way to divide the troposphere space above the GNSS receivers network into a mesh of irregular points.

IGG Scientific Seminar Invitation - dr Vanessa Brum-Bastos

IGG has the pleasure of inviting you to a virtual scientific seminar that will be held on the Zoom platform. During the following seminar, we will host dr Vanessa Brum-Bastos from the University of Canterbury (New Zeland), who will talk about "A Weather-Aware Framework for Population Mobility Modelling".

The seminar starts on Thursday 22nd of December at 09:00 AM (CEST).
