Cooperation between the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and Virtual City Systems

In May of this year, at the initiative of the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, an agreement was signed between the
Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the company
Virtual City Systems. This agreement enables the use of software for teaching and research purposes.
As a result, the teaching staff will be able to more effectively train future specialists in spatial modeling and modern information technologies, particularly in the fields of Satellite and Space Data Engineering as well as Geodesy and Cartography. The implementation of specialized software allows for better adaptation of curricula to the dynamically changing demands of the labor market, which is crucial in educating modern professionals. This cooperation addresses the significant need to bridge the competency gap between academic education and the requirements of the technology sector, and the initiative itself aligns with the global trend of strengthening ties between the worlds of science and the economy. Under this agreement, students will gain a unique opportunity to test innovative solutions, which will directly enhance the quality of education and better prepare them for future professional challenges.
